Lemon Butter Chicken Recipe (Easy One Pan)

This Lemon Butter Chicken Recipe is a one pan dish that is easy to make and very delicious! The chicken is cooked in a butter sauce with lemon juice, garlic, and herbs. Takes simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

  • 23 medium size boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • Seasoning (salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika)
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  1. Slice your chicken breasts in halves.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. (lemon pepper seasoning or Italian seasoning would work as well)
  3. Heat a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat with olive oil
  4. Sear the chicken and cook until well done and golden brown on both sides.
  5. Place the chicken aside on a separate dish
  6. In the same pan add butter, lemon slices, and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds on medium heat.
  7. Pour in chicken stock and lemon juice
  8. Mix and scrape the bottom of the pan to combine the crusts at the bottom of the pan
  9. Bring to a simmer
  10. Add chicken back into the pan and cook until warmed through
  11. Plate the chicken with some buttery sauce from the pan, lemon slice, and fresh parsley.
